EUROPARC Consulting GmbH is the consultancy arm of the EUROPARC Federation – the umbrella organisation of protected areas in Europe. The company specialises in the policy and practice of protected area management and is uniquely placed to provide advice, training and expertise in these fields.

We draw exclusively upon the skills of experts with current or recent experience in the management of protected areas. With over 380 member organisations of the EUROPARC Federation in 38 European countries as a resource including protected areas, ministries and NGOs, EUROPARC Consulting can call upon experts across the spectrum of protected area management in varied western, central and eastern European languages.

Services

We offer a broad range of services, from individual pieces of consultancy work for protected area authorities to the implementation of larger projects for government institutions and international funding bodies. In particular, we can:

• advise government agencies on protected area systems and structures;
• develop or revise protected area management plans;
• develop strategies for varied fields of protected area work, such as environmental education, interpretation, public relations, ranger services, sustainable tourism, visitor management;
• design and deliver training programmes or study visits relating to any aspect of protected area management;
• undertake fact-finding and advisory missions;
• offer solutions to practical management problems faced by protected areas.
